Getgo – 7.00 Dundalk – 1m 2.5F Handicap – 33/1 Bet365 – 1 point each way.
The 7 year old Getgo is a winner of three races, two of which were over todays course and distance off marks of 60 & 52.
Getgo has been on the go over the winter at Dundalk and he looks to have run out of form the last two runs, but this has coincided with the removal of his blinkers.
Looking back at his historical form he won both times when the blinkers were reapplied. Connections seemed to have realised with Getgo the positive affect of the blinkers wears off after a few runs, so they take them off for a period of outings and then reapply. He hasn’t always won when this method has been adopted but he has finished 2, 1, 7, 4, and 1.
These states look worth following, especially now he is racing of a mark of 45 and has a good 2lb claimer on board. He comes out of a stall 9 which is where he likes to be drawn, as his previous course wins came out of stalls 8 & 9.
The other big point is his liking for March, both his last two wins came at the track in this month and that’s out of just two starts. He clearly has a liking for the change to slightly warmer conditions seen in March.
We can get juicy odds of 33/1 with Bet365 and I therefore recommend 1 point each way.
