Hanbury Racing – 27 December 2021

Hi

Please see my one tip for today:

Jumira Bridge – 7.40 Wolverhampton – 5F Handicap – 16/1 Ladbrokes Coral, Bet365 (20/1) – 1 Point Each Way.

I put up Jumira Bridge just before Christmas, please see my previous write up below.

He was slowly away that day and it looked like a cosy prep run, but considering he won over Christmas last year on his second run back off a break, from a similar mark I have to give him another chance.

I therefore recommend 1 point each way with Ladbrokes, Corals who go 16/1 (he is 20/1 with Bet365). They all go best odds guaranteed which is important as he may well drift.

He is still value at 12/1.

Jumira Bridge – 3.55 Southwell – 5F Handicap – 18/1 Sky, Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook – 2 Points Each Way.

It’s incredibly rare for me to put up a 2 point each way play, but I feel the speed ball JumiraBridge deserves this weight of support and hopefully will pay for Christmas!!

Jumira is a 7 year old, and is a winner of 6 races (3 all-weather/3 on turf) he was originally trained by Roger Varian where he postmarked over 100 in his heyday. He moved onto Robert Cowell and continued to run in the 90’s but started to have breathing problems that ended up with him dropping to a mark of 88  when he was then given a wind operation.

He was given a 162 day break after the operation and then bolted up on his reappearance.

He soon moved onto Derek Shaw’s shrewd yard where he ran really bad for 3 months (6 runs) and the horses mark dropped from 80 to 59.

Jumira was given a two month break to freshen him up and ran on the all-weather (last Christmas) where he was backed in from big prices but was cruelly denied a run and stayed on strongly to only lose by a head. He went on to rattle up two decisive wins on his next two starts and went back up in the handicap to 70.

It looks to me that Derek Shaw has plotted the same Christmas bonanza as he has removed the tongue tie (in the Autumn) and Jumira has finished in rear on all 6 of his latest runs. Seeing his mark drop back down to 58.

He has been given a 3 month break and we know he has won three times when fresh, so thi sis a huge positive. But the biggest pointer is the tongue tie going back on.

He is also entered up at Wolverhampton on 27 December, so connections are eyeing up a sequence again!

He was 50/1 when I started writing this, but has been smashed into 18/1 Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook and Sky (4 places) but is best priced 25/1 with Bet365.

I think he is a cracking bet and I advise 2 points each way at 18/1.

He is still value at 12/1.
