Send In The Clouds – 8.25 Southwell – 7F Handicap – 4/1 Bet365 – 2 point win.
The lightly raced 4 year old Send In The Clouds won last time out for his first career success at the 7th attempt. That was over today’s course and distance at Southwell off a lowly mark of 46.
The success was fairly authoritative (by 1.5 lengths) and was a classic Luke Morris ride on an inexperienced, well handicapped horse. Despite being drawn wide Send In The Clouds was able to show sufficient speed and gain a prominent position, tacking across to track the leader. Luke Morris was able to organise the horse up the home straight (despite greenness) and gallop away from his nearest rivals in the manner of a horse that has much more to give.
He acted well at Southwell and Send In The Clouds looks the type to run up a quick sequence at the track.
The handicapper has been really generous only putting him up 3lb and with Luke Morris back in the saddle we have to take advantage at fair odds of 4/1 with Bet365 (BOG).
I therefore recommend 2 point win.
