Larcadio – 5.42 Ffos Las – 2m 3.5F Handicap Chase – 15/2 Bet365 –2 point win
I put up Larcadio last time and he was just a little outpaced under the 7lb claimer jockey and I think he could have done with stronger handling. I’m therefore happy he has been replaced by Tom O’Brien.
He still ran a promising race last time, only being beaten 10 lengths and the handicapper has dropped him another 3lb.
Larcadio has the ground he enjoys, the tongue tie is retained and back on a galloping track which is much more suitable, so I am expecting a big run.
I therefore recommend a 2 point win with Bet365 BOG.

The 8 year old Larcadio is a winner of a yielding ground Point to Point and after his mandatory three runs over hurdles to gain a handicap mark, he went handicap chasing very soon after.
Whilst he is clearly a chaser through and through and ran well on his first start in a handicap chase off 105, he has not built on that performance.
Bizarrely he followed that run up going off favourite and was pulled up with his Trainer citing he didn’t like the soft/heavy going. He then ran twice more on similar going and was unsurprisingly pulled up.
There was clearly more than just ground issues as today they have applied a tongue tie for the first time. Now he returns to a much preferred faster good/soft surface he can certainly run a race from a revised mark of 90.
At odds of 40/1 with Boylesports, who offer 5 places in this 15 runner field I’m recommending a 1 point each way play.
